NEWBORN SESSIONS

 

If possible, a Newborn session should be scheduled prior to the baby’s birth to ensure availability.   We recommend doing your newborn session within 30 days of birth.  This is the time when they are most sleepy and therefore easily moldable into all those adorable poses.   We have an in home studio with plenty of props for your session.   These sessions typically last 2-3 hours to allow plenty of time for feeding, changing and to capture those sweet, sleepy pictures. We typically prefer to do the photos in our studio were the light is optimal but we can go to your house if required due to baby special needs or multiples.

 

Within 2 weeks of your session we will meet at the studio for a viewing session where you will place your order.

MATERNITY SESSIONS

​

Best time for Maternity Photo Sessions is between 28 and 33 weeks of pregnancy. This photoshoot is a 60 minutes session including photos with partner and kids.

What to wear to your maternity photo shoot?

​

During our consultation, we will go over selection of outfits. We have a collection of dresses, gowns and fabrics that mom to be could use, or you could bring your own outfits.  

 

We advise against bold patterns.  We find that they distract from the beauty of your pregnancy.  Stick with solids.  For maternity sessions that involve siblings, choose their outfits first then build off that.  Pick 2 colors from your child’s outfit and incorporate those colors into your wardrobe.  You can do this with an article of clothing or an accessory, like a scarf or bracelet.  

 

CAKE SMASH SESSIONS -“Let them eat cake!”

 

Our Cake Smash sessions are a fantastic way to celebrate your child’s first, second or even third birthday. Every little one deserves to have a party that’s just for them, with favourite colors, a custom designed cake smash set and a yummy cake to dig into at the end of their session.  We start with simple and natural shots, so bring a long a nice outfit for your little one to wear, then we get changed into our cake smash outfit and get down to the fun stuff. 

 

We’ll plan ahead to be sure it’s customized for your little one in a way that will  bring out some silliness, fun, and fabulous photographs for you to choose from. These sessions are a fun memory to share with your child so we fully urge mom and dad to actively participate in the session. We love when parents are helping their child enjoy themselves doing things we never would dream of allowing them to do at home!

 

When to book?

To ensure your final images are ready for your little one’s birthday cards or thank you presents I advise booking a month before their birthday as these sessions are extremely popular, especially weekends,so please allow 3/4 weeks prior to the required date.
